Thirty Six Web Sites in Thirty Six Months

Changing the way your idea becomes reality

A successful new website is most often launched by an industry insider, who knows what other professionals in that field need, and will pay for. It's also unlikely that this person will have the knowledge to put this website together on his own.

Currently, you would need to secure financing, or risk a large amount of your money, just to have the website developed. Even if you get this far, it's then difficult to have a search engine give you the ranking you'll need to drive traffic to your site.

We realize your idea for a site will be better because of your knowledge of a specific industry.

Because of this, we will work with you, to develop the site with no monetary investment on your part.

A Starting Point

Each website begins with a theoretical 20,000 units. Roughly half are made available for investors, and half for the development team. For the entire 36in36 project, with 36 websites, there will be a total of 720,000 units.

Once Operational

Once a website begins earning over $1,000 per month, the revenues are split 1/3 to cover operations, 1/3 for the development team, and 1/3 for investors.

We have one site under development that will sell a service for $7.95. If we sell 10 units per day, the site would gross $2400 per month. $800 will cover the cost of hosting the site, and answering questions sent to the support line associated with the site. $800 would go to the development team for the specific site. The other $800 would go into a fund for investors of 36in36.

As a websites revenues grow over $1,000 per month, the percentage needed for operations should decrease (it would never be higher than 1/3). The dollars not needed to cover operations would be split evenly between the developer group, and the investor group.

It's possible that the site, after a year or two, will exceed our expectations. If the site sells 1,000 items a day, the gross revenue per month would approach $250,000 per month. The operations of a site this size should be covered by $20,000 per month (probably less), which would leave $230,000 per month to be divided between investors, and the 'point' holders. $115,000 per month would be divided by the development team. If we had 10,000 'points' distributed for development, each developer point would equal $11.50, per month. For a logo designer that earned 300 points for his work, the payment would be $3,450 dollars per month. If a project becomes profitable, a developer may choose to sell his points to an investor.

If you take away one thing from this website, let it be this...

In time management, there's a belief that humans over estimate what they can accomplish in a day, but under estimate what they can accomplish in a week, a month, or a year. In business, I believe there is something similar at work. New business owners are apt to overestimate the size of a local market, while drastically underestimating the world wide market on the internet. This is in no means meant to say that it's easy to be profitable on the internet. Attracting those first customers will be difficult. But if you can do that, you can drive thousands of customers to your site.

36in36 is a different way for you to bring your idea to the world. Reducing the cost by using a system that's in place, and allowing you to participate in the potential success of the other 35 sites.
